Terms of Service

Last Updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement made between you ("User", "Client", or "Annotator") and iStarai Inc. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

iStarai provides a platform that connects organizations needing data annotation services ("Clients") with a global workforce of independent contractors ("Annotators") managed through enterprise-grade tools. Services include image bounding, semantic segmentation, LiDAR cuboids, linguistic mapping, and custom taxonomies.

3. User Account Responsibilities

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account.
  • Immediately notify us if you discover or otherwise suspect any security breaches related to our services.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Client Data: Clients retain all rights, title, and interest in and to their datasets. iStarai claims no ownership over the raw data uploaded to the platform. We are granted a limited license solely to perform the requested annotation services.

iStarai Property: All software, designs, algorithms, and models developed by iStarai remain our exclusive property. Users may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the platform.

5. Quality and Payments

We employ the "two-person rule" to ensure high-quality labels. Clients are billed based on the tiered pricing plan or enterprise contract selected. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in a separate Service Level Agreement (SLA).

6. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
